Business Brand and Website Development

West Wales Wiring | 2024

This project involved developing a new brand identity and digital presence for West Wales Wiring, an electrical contractor whose previous website had been offline for several years and had very little online presence. The aim was to modernise the company’s identity, establish a consistent brand across both digital and physical materials, and make it easier for potential customers to discover and contact the business.

The Problem

West Wales Wiring had an outdated visual identity and limited digital presence. With its previous website no longer operational, potential customers had few ways of finding information about the company online. The project therefore focused on creating a recognisable brand and establishing a new digital foundation for the business.

The Solution

I developed a new visual identity centred around a redesigned West Wales Wiring logo. Canva was used throughout the design process to experiment with concepts and create supporting materials, including business cards and other branded assets. I then built a new website using Google Sites, focusing on four key requirements: providing useful information, simple navigation, consistent branding and an easy way for customers to make contact. A Google Form was integrated into the website to provide a straightforward contact method.

Implementation

Following completion of the new website, the branding was rolled out across the company’s online presence, including its social media profiles. The new identity was also applied to physical materials such as business cards and company paperwork, helping establish a consistent appearance across both digital and physical customer touch points. Business cards incorporated the new visual identity, essential contact information and a QR code providing direct access to the website.

Outcomes

The project established a new and consistent digital presence for West Wales Wiring, replacing its previously limited online presence with a functional website and recognisable visual identity. Google Analytics was connected to the website to provide insight into visitor traffic and allow the performance of the new site to be monitored. The completed rebrand received positive feedback, particularly regarding the improvement over the company’s previous visual identity and the more modern and professional appearance of the business.
